SeniorGeneralMinAungHlaing, Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister, received a delegation led by H.E. Mr. Batu Khasikov, Head of Kalmykia, Russian Federation, this morning at the Credential Hall of the Chairman’s Office in Nay Pyi Taw.
The meeting was attended by Senior General Min Aung Hlaing along with Joint Secretary of the Council General Ye Win Oo, Union Ministers U Tin Oo Lwin and U Min Naung; and Deputy Ministers. The Russian delegation included H.E. Mr. Iskander Azizov, Ambassador of Russia to Myanmar, and other representatives.
During the meeting, discussions focused on strengthening the friendly relations and cooperation between Myanmar and the Russian Federation, as well as enhancing collaboration between Myanmar and the Republic of Kalmykia. The parties discussed key issues, such as the upcoming International Buddhist Forum to be held in Kalmykia in 2025, Myanmar support for the event, and opportunities to foster trust-based and economic cooperation to promote tourism between Myanmar and Kalmykia. Other areas of discussion included mutual cooperation in the fields of education, agriculture, and livestock development, as well as the potential for exchange visits between responsible officials from both sides to further enhance collaboration. Both sides exchanged views openly and constructively on these topics.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and H.E. Mr. Batu Khasikov exchanged commemorative gifts and posed for a group photograph.
