Requirements for regional development and local production growth discussed
As regards the presentations, the Senior General said the meeting was held to provide means for MSME development in the district. Although the quality of local products is good, some areas need standard packaging process.
Basically, policies have been adopted for MSMEs and the pivotal and key requirement of a product is raw material.
In this regard, the availability of raw materials locally is a must. PyinOoLwin is producing dairy productions, wheat and flour-based products and fruitbased goods.
Market research must be carried out to know and popular goods and they must be manufactured in large quantities through standard procedures for export purposes.
Development of farm based production industries
MSMEs need adequate raw materials, technology, inputs and capital.
Production business must be beneficial, and 65 percent of country’s MSMEs are food producers.
The percentage of other industries such as personal goods producers and machine tool producers is still low.
The availability of raw materials for food industries depend on the success of farming business.
As for the electricity requirement for production industries, manageable-scale solar-power plants can be set up. The State is setting up solar-power generation industries.
The State is facing difficulties in fulling producing and distributing electricity due to the inability of the plants to fully generate power, destruction of power plants and towers by terrorists, inadequacy of gas supply.
Some of the State’s power plant projects came to a halt due to protests and other reasons.
If all the power projects started in 2005 can be successfully implemented, the country will have enough electricity supply by now.
But various attempts to disturb the power projects had stopped them.
In its tenure, the government encouraged the projects of generating electricity from solar energy implemented a short term due to difficulties in electric power sector.
Upon completion, these projects will produce electricity sufficiently.
The government spends a large sum of foreign currency in importing fuel which is one of the inputs yearly.
Using locally made foodstuffs, personal goods and clothes can reduce spending of foreign exchange, contributing much to economic development of the State. Hence, it is necessary to encourage locally made products and sustain State economy.
Needs to systematic utilization of arable lands efficiently
It is necessary to restrict operation of non-agricultural tasks on the cultivable lands, and it is manage to implement agricultural projects under the prescribed disciplines to have success.
It can be seen that some persons who have taken farmlands construct housings on the agricultural lands and set plots for buildings.
They have to submit proposals for using the farmlands in other forms under laws and regulations by seeking approvals at different levels.
As such, officials need to supervise these issues.
It is necessary to systematically manage quality strains, fertile soil, water and agricultural techniques for boosting per-acre yield of crops. As PyinOoLwin is located in the temperate area, wheat can thrive there.
Operating MSME production requires technology, machinery and skilled human resources for manufacturing quality products.
As dairy products in PyinOoLwin are in high quality, if other dairy products are produced in addition to existing products, businesspersons will have greater success.
If advanced wine can be produced, it can grasp market shares. Coffee from PyinOoLwin meeting set standards has occupied a market share.
It is necessary to manufacture quality foodstuffs with the use of basic agricultural produce of PyinOoLwin. Likewise, as PyinOoLwin has sound foundations to operate livestock breeding farms, efforts must be made to secure success in livestock breeding sector and frozen meat must be produced.
PyinOoLwin is famed as a recreation city named as the cherry city as well as a flowery city.
As it is a peaceful and prosperous city, policies have been adopted for education and healthcare services so as to shape it as an education city and a healthy city.
The government is fulfilled the needs for beautifying the city.
Residents have to participate in following disciplines for visitors to take relaxation enjoying beauties of the city with physical and mental well-being. If city dwellers systematically dispose garbage, PyinOoLwin will become a clean city. Likewise, they grow trees and flowery plants, the city will be a green city. Administrative authorities have to lead the people in all process.
As the government is making efforts to improve the State, everyone has to join hands with the government in these measures.
