Chairman of State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence  Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing inspects local training depot and Tatmadaw TV Broadcasting Unit (Taungnyo) in Taungnyo Station

Chairman of State Admini-stration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, accompanied by Commander- in-Chief (Air) General Tun Aung, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in- Chief, the Nay Pyi Taw Command commander and officials, inspe-cted local training depot and Tatmadaw TV Broadcasting Unit (Taungnyo) in Taungnyo Station, Nay Pyi Taw Command HQ, this morning.

At the meeting hall of the local training depot, the commandant reported on brief history, ongoing courses, farming activities, and welfare activities of the depot.

In response, the Senior Gene-ral said the depot should apply means for the trainees to truly understand the theorical lessons and skillfully follow the training lessons. The results of fitness trainings should meet age-wise requirements. Constant research should be conducted on ever changing military strategies, weapons and military know-ledge to broaden the scope of curricular. Trainees who are competent and able to shoulder defence and security duties skillfully must be produced.

The Senior General then looked around the exhibition halls and lecture halls of the depot and looked into the requirements of officials.

The Senior General met offi-cers, other ranks, families and trainees at training department of the depot. As regards training, he said the current era witnes-ses the constant advancement of military technologies and military strategies, and trainees must continuously study them in accord with the motto “study, practice, compliance.” Trainees must undergo constant practice sessions to be more skillful in the learned military methods and sciences.

Today is the age of techno-logy. So, trainees must search and study general knowledge and related information for life improvement on the internet pages  and  books  by  applying  technological skill to enhance their individual capacity. The habit of reading and learning is much helpful for efficiency. They must take lessons through evaluation and combination of their knowledge and experi-ences.

Administrators must syste-matically discharge their administrative duties in their res-ponsible areas and must carry out welfare undertakings for the depot to the most possible degree. They must fulfil the individual rights of soldiers appropriately and look into the requirements of subordinates. Excellent military discipline, administration and support will enhance morale.

Today is an era of education, and only through education can one acquire skills.Tatmadaw is establishing educational training schools to enhance the education of its personnels. Additionally, it actively promotes the education of Tatmadaw families’ children and recognizes out-standing academic achievers.

In terms of welfare, while the Tatmadaw provides various welfare services, we can also manage our financial expenses and achieve welfare by cutting back on unnecessary spending.He emphasized the importance of distinguishing between spending and wasting to maintain a balance between income and expenditure. He also noted that welfare provisions have been made, along with the imple-mentation of  Tatmadaw-owned farming projects.It is essential for each management leader to implement this systematically, with subordinates following the same approach.

Military personnels join the forces to carry out national defense and security duties, motivated by their own commitment, without any external encourage-ment.Our military personnel have carried out their assigned duties with great sacrifices, serving the nation and its people.He stated that our military personnel have fulfilled their assigned duties with great sacrifices for the benefit of the country and the people. Just as officers and soldiers are diligently carrying out national defense and security duties on the front lines, their families are also living and fulfilling their responsibilities in accordance with their respective forces.He stated that he also recognizes and honors the service rendered to the nation and the people by all those responsible for natio-nal defense and security.  Our country’s current population is approximately 52 million, with 47 percent male and 53 percent female. Of this population, only a small number have joined the military and are able to perform the noble duties of national defence and security. Therefore, he emphasized the need to honor and value military service, as it is a challenging responsibility that the public cannot easily undertake.It is essential to take pride in the lives of our military personnel who carry out their noble duties in service to the nation and its people, while ensuring the fulfillment of the responsibilities entrusted to them.

Discipline serves as both an encouragement  to  act  rightly  and a deterrent against wrong-doing. By adhering to the rules set forth by the military and embodying the values of a good soldier, individuals will be able to carry out their duties with a sense of pride and fulfillment within the environment they serve.With the exam period soon approaching, it is crucial to ensure that the necessary services are provided, enabling students to take their exams with peace of mind. He also emphasized the need of orga-nizing youth-oriented courses, programs, and activities during the summer school holidays, aimed at enhancing national character and fostering greater knowledge.

Afterward, the Senior Gene-ral presented food supplies to officers, other ranks, their families, and trainees from the training school, which were accepted by the Station Com-mander.

Following the meeting, the Senior General, along with members of his entourage, warmly greeted the attending officers, other ranks, and their families.

Subsequently,  the  Senior General and party visited the Tatmadaw Broadcasting Unit (Taungnyo), where they had lunch together with the officers, other ranks, and staff.

Later, at the meeting hall, the Commander of the Tatmadaw Broadcasting Unit (Taungnyo) presented an overview of the unit’s history, implementation of the directives from the Chair-man of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Services, and the completion of tasks. They also provided explanations about daily domestic and international news and various educational and engaging programs being broadcasted.

The Senior General commen-ting on the presentations, emphasized the importance of observing and learning from the broadcasting practices of other domestic and international news agencies. He highlighted the need to identify the strengths and weaknesses of their own broadcasting and work towards improving their programs. He urged the team to operate professionally and achieve their goals successfully. Furthermore, he stressed that the programs broadcasted should be interest-ing to the audience, catering to different age groups, including both adults and youth, with suitable programs and music. He stated that broadcasting is inherently a public relations activity and that the mission of the Directorate of Public Rela-tions and Psychological Warfare is to “inform, entertain, educate, and organize.” He pointed out that effective communication, entertainment, and edu-cation inherently contribute to organization efforts. Therefore, it is essential to carry out these activities effectively and ensure that they are beneficial. Broad-casting content that provides new knowledge and information is itself educational. Similarly, he emphasized the importance of broadcasting health awareness programs and ensuring they are accessible to all age groups. Given that the country primarily focuses on agriculture and live-stock, he called for the production and broadcast of programs that educate the public about these sectors. He urged that all assigned goals and responsibilities should be carried out systematically, addressing every detail, and striving to advance the broadcasting operations.

Following this, the Senior General and his entourage toured the Tatmadaw Broadcasting Unit (Taungnyo). They observed the filming of health awareness programs and news broadcasting demonstrations, inspected the operational status of the unit, and provided necessary guidance based on presentations by the respective department heads.

Then, the Senior General inspected the site chosen for the construction of the television museum and gave necessary instructions to officials.

Afterward, the Senior General delivered an address to offi-cers, other ranks and staff of Tatmadaw TV Broadcasting Unit (Taungnyo), saying Tatma-daw TV broadcasting units have gained experience to some extent in broadcasting and are required to further improve TV broadcasting by studying the works of other local and foreign TV stations. As today is the ageof technology and AI, it is necessary to learn and make efforts constantly to keep up with the changing  modern times.

Every country and individual are desirous of development and make efforts to move forward. We are required to make constant efforts for socioeconomic development of individuals and the country in acc-ordance with the motto “Keep Moving Forward to Achieve Our Goal.” Works can be improved by learning and exerting efforts constantly and reviewing strengths and weaknesses of one’s works. The practice of learning must be cultivated into a habit and efforts must be made to keep up with the technologies and skills that are changing with the times.

It is necessary to carry out TV broadcasting operations broad-mindedly and to perform  duties in the interests of the county by broadcasting good concepts and knowledge necessary for the public. Wisdom and know-ledge must be learnt and shared constantly. Broadcasting TV involves images and sound and care must be taken so that sound is correct and images are clear and flexible. Moreover, healthy habits must be cultivated. It is necessary to improve one’s tasks by finding out ways and means for development of the entire operation. In conclusion, the Senior General discussed battalion building tasks such as training, administration, welfare and morale comprehen-sively.

After the meeting, the Senior General presented foodstuffs for officers, other ranks and staff of Tatmadaw TV Broad-casting Unit (Taungnyo) to the commander of the unit.

Then, the Senior General pre-sented cash rewards for offi-cers, other ranks and staff of the unit to the commander.
