The bridge is a main bridge at the western wall of the palace. Under the instructions to reconstruct in its original style and to maintain its durability given by the Senior General, Directorate of Military Engineers started constructing the bridge in August, 2024 and was opened successfully today.
The Mandalay Palace was constructed with three main gates each on four sides of the palace wall and there are 12 gates in total. The middle gates of the palace walls were named according to their own Zodiac signs. By reconstructing the bridge at the western wall, the Mya Nan San Kyaw Golden Palace, which represents national cultural heritage, will be able to retain its original features.
