Nay Pyi Taw, December 10
A Myanmar Tatmadaw goodwill delegation led by Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing this morning left Nay Pyi Taw Tatmadaw airport for the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal at the invitation of Chief of Army Staff Gen. Ranjendra Chhetri of Nepalese Armed Forces.
The Myanmar Tatmadaw goodwill delegation led by the Senior General was seen off at the airport by Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win, Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Mya Tun Oo, Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Admiral Tin Aung San, Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Khin Aung Myint, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army), the commander of Nay Pyi Taw Command, Nepalese Ambassador to Myanmar H.E. Mr. Bhin K Udas and officials.
The Senior General is accompanied by his wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla and senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief. It will be the first journey of the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services of Myanmar to Nepal. During the journey, the Senior General will meet civilian and military chiefs in Nepal, observe the peace process of Nepal and visit significant places.
In the afternoon, the Senior General and party arrived at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu of Nepal where they were welcomed by Chief of Staff of Nepalese Armed Forces Lt. Gen. Hemanta Raj Kunwar and wife, Myanmar Ambassador to Nepal U Tun Nay Lin and wife, Myanmar Military Attaché (Army, Navy and Air) to India Brig-Gen Thein Zaw and wife, and officials.
