Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Thadoe Maha Thray Sithu Thadoe Thiri Thudhamma Min Aung Hlaing, wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla host dinner to mark the 78th Anniversary of Union Day

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General  Thadoe Maha Thray Sithu Thadoe Thiri Thudhamma Min Aung Hlaing and wife  Daw Kyu Kyu Hla hosted the dinner to mark the 78th Anniversary of Union Day 2025 at the square in front of the City Hall in Nay Pyi Taw this evening.

On arrival at the square in front of the City Hall at 6 pm, the Senior General and  wife were welcomed by SAC Vice Chairman Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Thiri Pyanchi Maha Thray Sithu Soe Win and wife Daw Than Than Nwe,  Union ministers and their wives, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Than Tun Oo and wife.

The Senior General and wife, the Vice-Senior General and wife cordially greeted  attendee cultural troupes from regions and states, chairmen and  representatives of political parties, leaders and representatives of NCA signatory ethnic armed organizations, economic affairs and ethnic affairs ministers of regions and states, MSME entrepreneurs from regions and states, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief and their wives, union ministers, union level officials and their wives, SAC members and their wives, the SAC joint secretary and wife and the SAC secretary and wife.

The Senior General and wife together with attendees enjoyed the launching of fireworks to honour the 78th Anniversary of Union Day 2025.

Following that, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and his wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla  attended the honorary dinner together with the guests and shared the meal. Before and during the dinner, singers from the modern Myanmar music band performed melodious songs to entertain the attendees.

After the honorary dinner, the Senior General and his wife, along with the distinguished guests, watched cultural performances presented by artists from the Department of Fine Arts of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture, and traditional cultural troupes at the openair theater of the City Hall.

These performances included traditional dances from various ethnic groups.

During the performances, artists from the Department of Fine Arts of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture presented a musical drama titled “The Messenger of Peace.” Additionally, traditional dance troupes from the Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Chin, the Bamar from Sagaing Region, Mon, Rakhine, and Shan ethnic groups performed traditional songs and dances. The artists and cultural troupes also presented a traditional dance called “The Land of the Union’s Ethnic People.”

After the performances, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and his wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla honored the ethnic cultural troupes that performed at the 78th Union Day celebration in 2025 with floral tributes and warmly greeted them.

The honorary dinner was attended by the SAC Secretary and his wife, the Joint Secretary and his wife, members of the Council and their spouses, members of the Central Advisory Board of the State Administration Council, retired senior military officers, Union Ministers, Union-level officials and their spouses, the Chairman of the Nay Pyi Taw Council, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief and their wives, advisors to the Chairman of the State Administration Council, the Commander of the Nay Pyi Taw Command, Deputy Ministers, region and state economic ministers and ethnic affairs ministers, leaders and representatives of ethnic armed organizations that have signed the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement (NCA), chairpersons and representatives of political parties, departmental officials, MSME entrepreneurs from regions and states, ethnic cultural troupes from regions and states, and other invited guests.
