Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing receives Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand H.E. Mr. Maris Sangiampongsa and delegation Will promote bilateral cooperation in multiple sectors

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received a delegation led by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand H.E. Mr. Maris Sangiampongsa at the parlour of Bayintnaung Villa here this morning.

During the meeting, views on further cementing the existing friendship and cooperation between the two countries and armed forces, taking of severe legal action against persons operating telecom frauds and online gambling, with the participation of international organization and neighbouring countries, through careful investigation, harsh legal action taken by Myanmar in launching antitelecom fraud and anti-online gambling campaigns as a national duty, continuous bilateral cooperation in ensuring peace and stability, rule of law, antiillicit trade, anti-terrorism and information sharing operations at the border areas, Myanmar’s efforts to hold a free and fair general election, and promotion of bilateral cooperation in multiple sectors were cordially exchanged.

After the call, the Senior General and the Thai Foreign Minister exchanged commemorative gifts.

Also present at the call together with the Senior General were SAC Joint Secretary General Ye Win Oo, union ministers and senior military officers. The Thai FM was accompanied by Commander-in-Chief of Thai Royal Armed Forces Gen. Songwit Noonpackdee, the Thai ambassador to Myanmar, the Thai military attaché and officials.
