Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, currently in Moscow of the Russian Federation to pay an official visit, met Prime Minister of the Russian Federation H.E. Mikhail Vladimirovich Mishustim at the meeting hall of the Russian Federation Government House this afternoon.
On arrival at the house, the Senior General was welcomed by the Russian Federation Prime Minister. They had documentary photos taken, and the meeting took place there.
Also present at the meeting together with the Senior General were SAC Joint Secretary General Ye Win Oo, Council member General Nyo Saw, Union ministers, the Chief Minister of Bago Region, Myanmar Ambassador to the Russian Federation U Thit Lin Ohn, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, the Myanmar Military Attaché (Army, Navy and Air) to the Russian Federation and officials. The Russian Federation Prime Minister was accompanied by ministers of the Russian government and officials.
At the meeting, the Russian Federation Prime Minister extended greetings, saying that they are deeply honoured and delighted by friendly visit of the Senior General to their country. Myanmar is a key partner and ally of Russia in the Asia-Pacific region. Through this visit, they believe that the friendship and cooperation between the two nations will be further strengthened and enhanced.
In his response, the Senior General said that he was delighted at meeting with the Russian Federation Prime Minister. The diplomatic relations between the two countries has turned 77 years, and friendly relations and cooperation are enhancing between the two countries.
The Senior General expressed his thanks to them for warmly welcome to the Myanmar delegation and himself.
They exchanged views on promotion of bilateral relations and cooperation, promotion of cooperation in trade, industry, manufacturing, agriculture and investment sectors, cooperation in aerospace and satellite technology, development of tourism industry between the two countries, invitation to Russian businesspersons to invest in Myanmar, signing the memorandum of understanding between the two countries, and exchange of high-ranking officials of the governments from both countries.
