Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing meets families of Myanmar Embassy and Office of the Military Attache

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, who was on an official goodwill visit in Russian Federation, met families of Myanmar Embassy and Office of the Military Attache in Russian Federation at the embassy this morning at local time.

Also were SAC Joint Secretary General Ye Win Oo, SAC member General Nyo Saw, Union Minister 1 at the Office of SAC Admiral Moe Aung, Myanmar Ambassador to Russia U Thit Lin Ohn and wife, Myanmar Military Attache (Army, Navy and Air) Brig-Gen Moe Kyaw and wife, and officials.

The ambassador and families of the embassy and military office introduced themselves individually.

In his speech, the Senior General said the visit is for the development of Russia-Myanmar friendship. It is a successful visit as the results of the meetings with Russian President Vladimir Putin and leading officials the country were positive.

Russia and Myanmar share a long history as the diplomatic relations between the two countries had already exceeded the 77th  Anniversary. The two countries have enjoyed favorable diplomatic relations since olden times, and Myanmar had received Russian assistance in health and education. The Senior General said he has paid goodwill visit to Russia for 11  times, including the current visit, from the time he started shouldering the duties of the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services.

There was mutual cooperation in defence in the previous periods. After 2001, Russia started accepting Myanmar military officers for scholarship program.

The program continues till now, and it is generating valuable human resources for the nation and Tatmadaw.

Russia has also lent a helping in upgrading the Myanmar Tatmadaw.

are selected for overseas study programs, and they are provided with foundational Russian language training before being sent to Russia. He highlighted the foresight of previous military leaders in nurturing invaluable human resources for the nation.

He urged the trainees to value themselves, work hard, and strive for excellence, as they have been chosen for their exceptional abilities.

Henotedthatpursuingadvanced education requires significant time and financial investment, both personally and nationally.

He encouraged the trainees to ensure their studies are not disrupted and to excel beyond ordinary standards, becoming highly skilled graduates who can contribute significantly to the nation.

The Senior General stressed the importance of educated human resources for national development. He pointed out that students who receive guidance from teachers during their schooling develop discipline, diligence, and superior knowledge and skills compared to those with weaker educational foundations. He reiterated the government’s commitment to providing education up to KG+9 and called for studying the education systems of Russia, Europe, and other advanced nations to benefit Myanmar.

He highlighted that the current era is one of technological advancement, including AI, and urged the nation to keep pace with technological developments.

He emphasized the need to continuously learn and adopt beneficial AI technologies.

The Senior General called on the officers to remain loyal to the nation, avoid actions that could harm national interests, and stay clear of partisan politics.

He encouraged them to use the knowledge and experience gained from their studies to benefit their work, departments, and country. He also mentioned that engineers and computer scientists who studied in Russia contributed to the construction of the Maravijaya Buddha Statue, the tallest stone statue in the world, located in Nay Pyi Taw. He urged the officers to strive to become young leaders who can bring honor to the nation in their respective fields.

The Senior General emphasized that the application of Russian language skills would enhance Myanmar-Russia friendship. He noted that Russia has consistently supported Myanmar, and Myanmar has reciprocated by standing with Russia. He called for collective efforts to strengthen Myanmar-Russia relations and stressed the importance of loyalty to oneself, one’s organization, and the nation.

Following his address, the Senior General presented gifts and cash awards to the trainees and warmly bid them farewell.
