Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, who is on an official state visit to the Russian Federation in Moscow, today met with H.E.Mr. Sholban Kara-Ool, Deputy Speaker of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, at the Radisson Collection Hotel during local afternoon hours.During the meeting, discussions focused on the progress of implementing previously agreed-upon collaboration points between the legislative bodies of the two countries.
Topics included dispatching study delegations from Myanmar to the Russian Duma to exchange experiences, as well as measures to further strengthen friendly relations between the parliaments of both nations. Later, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received H.E.Mr. Batu KHASIKOV, Head of the Republic of Kalmykia, and his delegation. They warmly discussed proposals to build a Myanmar-sponsored stupa or Buddha statue in the Buddhist garden located in Kalmykia, as well as arranging for a Myanmar study delegation to visit the republic.
Following the talks, the SAC Chairman and the Head of Kalmykia exchanged commemorative gifts and posed for documentary photographs.
