A high-level Myanmar good will delegation led by Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, who is on an official goodwill visit in Russian Federation at the invitation of President H.E. Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, left Pulikovo International Airport in Saint Petersburg to pay a goodwill visit to Belarus at the invitation of the President Aleksandr Lukashenko of the country this afternoon at local time, and were seen off by External Relations Committee Chairman of Saint Petersburg government Mr. Grigoriev Evgeny Dmitrievich, Myanmar Consul General U Aung Pe Thet, and officials at the airport.
On arrival at the international airport in Minsk, Belarus, the Senior General and delegation were welcomed by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus H. E. Mr. Maxim Ryzhenkov, the Ambassador of Belarus to Myanmar, Myanmar Consul General U Moe Kyaw Thu, and officials.
At the airport, Guard of Honour of Belarus welcomed the Senior General in accord with the tradition of welcoming the state leaders who are on a state visit.
The Senior General arrived at the wreath-laying place of the Victory Monument in Minsk, and was welcomed by officials.
While the Senior General was laying a wreath at the Victory Monument, the Guard of Honour played the national anthems of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the Republic of Belarus.
The Senior General took the salute of the Guard of Honour, and cordially greeted the officials.
