Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing after paying State Visits to Russian Federation at the invitation of President of Russian Federation H.E. Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin and to the Republic of Belarus at the invitation of President of Belarus H.E. Mr. Alexander Gregoryevich Lukashenko, left Tolmachevo Airport in Novosibirsk, Russian Federation and was seen off by Governor of Novosibirsk Mr. Travnikov Andrey Aleksandrovich, Myanmar Ambassador to Russian Federation U Thit Lin Ohn, the Myanmar consul general and officials.
Members of the goodwill delegation, SAC Joint Secretary General Ye Win Oo, SAC member General Nyo Saw, union ministers U Than Swe, Admiral Moe Aung, Dr Kan Zaw, U Ko Ko Lwin, Dr Myo Thein Kyaw, Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, deputy ministers, military and civilian officials, who accompanied the Senior General during the visits, also arrive back on the same flight.
During the visits to Russia and Belarus, the Senior General held talks with President of Russian Federation H.E. Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, the speakers of parliaments, and officials of Russian government on sector-wise issues on 4 March and took part in Myanmar-Russia Business Forums.
He also formally opened Myanmar Consulate Generals in Saint Petersburg and Novosibirsk.
The high-level Myanmar delegation signed agreements and MoUs on economic cooperation between the governments of Myanmar and Russia during the visit to Russia, and executed the task of cementing friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
During the visit to Belarus, the Senior General met President of Belarus H.E. Mr. Alexander Gregoryevich Lukashenko on 7 March, the speaker of National Assembly, and government official and discussed topics sector wise and delivered a speech at Myanmar-Belarus Business Forum. Moreover, agreements and MoUs on economic cooperation were signed between the two countries.
During the return trip, the Senior General answered the questions of the media persons on the special flight.
The Myanmar goodwill delegation led by the Senior General arrived back in Nay Pyi Taw Tatmadaw Airport in the evening and was welcomed by Vice Chairman of State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win, SAC Secretary General Aung Lin Dway, SAC members, union ministers, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, the Nay Pyi Taw Command commander, and officials of Russian Embassy in Myanmar and Military Attache Office.
The Senior General and the Myanmar goodwill delegation left Nay Pyi Taw and visited Novosibirsk, Moscow, Saint Petersburg and Samara in Russia and Minsk in Belarus.
The length of their to-and-fro journey in Russia and Belarus whose extreme temperatures were between minus 2 and minus 12 degree centigrade, was over ten thousand miles and during the journey they exerted efforts for progress of agriculture, economy, trade, academic studies between the two countries, and for generating opportunities for people-to-people and en-trepreneur-to-entrepreneur cooperation in promoting tourism.
In honour of their efforts and achievements, children of nationalities, band troupes, pom pom dance troupes, traditional dance troupes, artists, and local people accorded a rousing welcome to the Senior General and delegation by holding placards that read “Long live Russia-Myanmar friendship, further progress of multiplesector strategic cooperation, warmly welcome Senior General Min Aung Hlaing for the efforts to further enhance Russia-Myanmar relations, may Russian and Myanmar join hands firmer, success for Myanmar-Russia cooperation, long live Belarus-Myanmar friendship, we warmly welcome Senior General Min Aung Hlaing who is striving for all-round development of Myanmar, we warmly welcome the Senior General and delegation for further strengthening Russia-Myanmar friendship” and waving miniature flags of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Russian Federation and Republic of Belarus, chanting slogans “We wish health for Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing who is striving for the benefit of race, language and religion, may Russia-Myanmar friendship and Belarus-Myanmar friendship live long and be stronger.”
At the airport, Leader of the Information Team of the State Administration Council Maj-Gen Zaw Min Tun, a member of the delegation, gave answers to the questions of the press.
