Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received Mr. Sun Guoxiang, Special Envoy of Asian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China at the Parlour of Bayintnaung Villa, here, this morning.
Also present at the call together with the Senior General were Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung, Lt-Gen Than Tun Oo, Lt-Gen Soe Htut and senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army). The Special Representative for Asian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China was accompanied by Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar H.E. Mr. Hong Liang and officials.
At the meeting, they exchanged views on promotion of bilateral relations between the two armed forces of the two countries, endeavours of the Tatmadaw for restoring eternal peace in Myanmar and assistance of China in internal peace process of Myanmar.
