Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, who is on a goodwill visit to Thailand at the invitation of Chief of Defence Force of the Royal Thai Armed Forces Gen. Tarnchaiyan Srisuwan, met with Gen. Prem Tinsulanonda, President of Privy Council of Thailand, at the latter’s home this afternoon.
Present at the call together with the Senior General were Lt-Gen Min Naung, Lt-Gen Soe Htut and senior military officers of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army), Myanmar Ambassador to Thailand U Myo Myint Than and Myanmar Military Attaché (Army, Navy and Air) Brig-Gen Khin Zaw. The President of Privy Council was accompanied by Chief of Defence Force of the Royal Thai Armed Forces Gen. Tarnchaiyan Srisuwan and senior military officers of the Royal Thai Armed Forces.
At the call, both sides openly exchanged views on progress of bilateral relations between the two armed forces, the Senior General’s acceptance of the Knight Grand Cross (First Class) of the Most Exalted Order of the White Elephant conferred by the Thai King and further promoting the bilateral ties between the two armed forces.
