The goodwill delegation led by Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife who are on a goodwill visit to Thailand at the invitation of Chief of Defence Force of the Royal Thai Armed Forces Gen. Tarnchaiyan Srisuwan was hosted a dinner by Adviser to the Prime Minister of Thailand Retired Chief of Defence Force Gen. Tanasak Patimapragorn and wife at Dusit Thani Hotel in Bangkok on 17 February evening.
Also present at the dinner together with the Senior General were his wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla and family members, senior military offi cers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) and their wives, Myanmar Ambassador to Thailand U Myo Myint Than and wife, and Myanmar Military Attaché (Army, Navy and Air) Brig-Gen Khin Zaw and wife. The Adviser to the Prime Minister of Thailand Retired Chief of Defence Force was accompanied by his wife Mrs. Penlaksana Patimapragorn, Chief of Defence Force of the Royal Thai Armed Forces Gen. Tarnchaiyan Srisuwan and wife Mrs. Jiraporn Srisuwan, senior military offi cers from the Royal Thai Armed Forces and their wives.
First, the Senior General and wife and party were welcomed by the Adviser to the Prime Minister of Thailand Retired Chief of Defence Force and wife. Then, they had dinner together. Before and during the dinner, the military band of the Office of the Chief of Defence Force of the Royal Thai Armed Forces and the entertainment troupe of the Culture University from Ang Thong Province performed songs of the both countries and entertained them with variety dances.
After the dinner, the Senior General and wife, and the Adviser to the Prime Minister of Thailand Retired Chief of Defence Force and wife exchanged commemorative gifts and posed for documentary photo.
Then, the Senior General introduced four officers who are members of the goodwill delegation and won the best cadet awards at No 59th Intake of the Defence Service Academy, No 19th Intake of the Defence Services Technological Academy, No 119th Intake of the Defence Services (Army) Officers Training School and No 3rd Intake of Graduate Female Cadets of Defence Services (Army) Officers Training School to Adviser to the Prime Minister of Thailand Retired Chief of Defence Force Gen. Tanasak Patimapragorn.
Then, the Senior General presented cash awards to the military band of the Office of the Chief of Defence Force of the Royal Thai Armed Forces and the entertainment troupe of the Culture University from Ang Thong Province which performed entertainment and posed for documentary photo together with them.
