MMA Middleweight World Champion Aung La N Sang won over Brazilian contender ALEXANDRE MACHADO in the fi rst round of the ONE Light Heavyweight World Championship held at Thuwunna Indoor Stadium in Yangon on 23 February 2018.
Aung La N Sang, already ONE Championship’s middleweight belt holder, won the ONE Light Heavyweight crown. Commanderin- Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and offi cers and other ranks and the families of the Tatmadaw (Army, Navy and Air) cordially honour Aung La N Sang as he is a credit to the country. On behalf of the Senior General, Yangon Command Commander Maj-Gen Thet Pon presented the certifi cate of honour and an honorary award of Ks-10 million to Aung La N Sang, at Rose Garden Hotel in Yangon this evening.
Aung La N Sang who becomes a double world champion expressed special thanks to the Senior General and the families of the Tatmadaw (Army, Navy and Air). He will use the cash prize on education activities for children from MyMe project and philanthropic works in Kachin State. He will retain the champion titles and make more efforts for the next competitions.
