Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, accompanied by Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Admiral Tin Aung San, Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Maung Maung Kyaw, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) and Commander of Northern Command Maj-Gen Nyi Nyi Swe, inspected the agriculture and livestock breeding farm of Northern Command this afternoon.
At the briefing hall, Commander Maj-Gen Nyi Nyi Swe reported on systematic cultivation of perennial trees with the use of nursery, growing of seasonal crops, sale of vegetables from the farm at reasonable prices, raising of Novogen Brown layers, broilers and domestic chickens, breeding of Hteinsan goats, DYL pigs, dairy cows, domestic cows and fish, distribution of meat and fish, eggs and milk at fair prices and making and using of natural fertilizer (super Bokashi).
After hearing the report, the Senior General instructed officials to help solve the problem of high commodity prices on one hand by selling surplus vegetables, meat and fish and eggs from the farm to service personnel, to carry out systematic breeding tasks, to feed children of families with eggs as supplied food to have nutrition and to emphasize cultivation seasonal crops.
The Senior General and party inspected raising of Novogen Brown layers, making and using of natural fertilizer (super Bokashi) and breeding of dairy cows. The command commander and officials conducted the Senior General and party round the farm.
