Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs H.E. Mr. Iwao HORII at the parlour of Bayintnaung Villa, here, this afternoon.
Also present at the call together with the Senior General were Lt- Gen Soe Htut of the Offi ce of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) and senior military offi cers. The Japanese Vice-Minister was accompanied by offi cials.
At the meeting, they cordially exchanged views on the process to re-accept the Bengalis who left for Bangladesh from Buthidaung-Maungtaw region of northern Rakhine State, progress in coordination between Myanmar and Bangladesh, participation of Japan in that process, conducting dissemination of real incidents to the international community, and assistance of Japan in internal peace process.
After the meeting, the Senior General and the Japanese Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs exchanged gifts.
