Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing hosted a dinner in honour of the visiting Chief of General Staff Department of the Lao People’s Armed Forces Lt. Gen. Souvone LEUANGBOUNMY at Aureum Hotel in Nay Pyi Taw this evening.
Also present at the dinner together with the Senior General were his wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win and wife, Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Mya Tun Oo and wife, Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Admiral Tin Aung San and wife, Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Maung Maung Kyaw and wife and senior military officers of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief and their wives. The Laotian Chief of General Staff Department was accompanied by his wife Lt. Col. Mrs. Phayvanh LEUANGBOUNMY, Laotian Ambassador to Myanmar H.E. Mr. Lyying SAYAXANG and senior officers of the Lao People’s Armed Forces.
First, the Senior General and wife welcomed and greeted the Laotian Chief of General Staff Department and wife. Next, the Senior General and the Laotian Chief of General Staff extended greetings and enjoyed the dinner together with those in attendance.
During the dinner, Myawady music band of Directorate of Public Relations and Psychological Warfare performed them with songs and dances. After the dinner, they exchanged gifts. Later, baskets of flowers were presented to the members of the entertainment group and they posed for a documentary photo.
