Commander-in-Chief of De-fence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received Japan-ese Ambassador to Myanmar H.E. Mr. Ichiro MARUYAMA at the parlour of Bayintnaung Villa, here, this morning.
Also present at the call together with the Senior General were Lt-Gen Soe Htut of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army).
The Japanese Ambassador to Myanmar was accompanied by First Secretary Mr. Naoya KISHI of the Japanese Embassy.
At the meeting, they frankly talked about cooperation in enhancement of education standard between the two armed forces of the two countries, needs of foreign countries to study and review true situations of Rakhine State issue to be able to continuously carry out future tasks for peace and stability, the matters which Japan can provide assistance for development of Rakhine State, and bilateral cooperation in internal peace processes and development undertakings in the peaceful regions of Myanmar.
After the meeting, the Senior General and the Japanese Ambassador to Myanmar posed for documentary photos together with those present after exchanging commemorative gifts.
