Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received Deputy Minister of National Defence of Vietnam People’s Armed Forces Senior Lieutenant General Tran Don at the parlour of Zeyathiri Beikman in Konmyinttha this afternoon.
Also present at the call together with the Senior General were Lt-Gen Nyo Saw and senior military officers of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army). The Vietnamese deputy minister was accompanied by Ambassador of the
Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Myanmar H.E. Dr. Luan Thuy Duong, the Military Attaché and senior officers of Vietnam People’s Armed Forces.
Both sides cordially discussed good relations between the two armed forces of Myanmar and Vietnam, efforts for better relations, exchange of visits between military leaders of the two countries, training cooperation between the two armed forces, exchange of sport teams and cultural troupes, sharing of military medical education and cooperation in news and information technology.
After the meeting, the Senior General and the Vietnamese deputy minister exchanged gifts and posed for a group photo.
