Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received Ambassador of Malaysia to Myanmar H.E. Mr. Zahairi bin Baharim at the parlour of Bayintnaung Villa, here, this afternoon.
Also present at the call together with the Senior General were Lt- Gen Soe Htut from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Arm) and senior military officers. The Ambassador of Malaysia to Myanmar was accompanied by Defence Attaché Col. Abdul Razak Haron and officials.
At the meeting, they frankly exchanged views on efforts to restore internal peace in Myanmar, promotion of friendly relations between the two countries and the two armed forces, cooperation of the two armed forces in exchange of information and anti-terrorism, jointly combating the illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs, exchange of delegations between the two armed forces at different levels, bilateral sending of sports teams, cooperation in training affairs, and exchange of military medical education.
After the meeting, the Senior General and the Ambassador of Malaysia to Myanmar posed for a documentary photo after exchanging commemorative gifts.
