Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received H.E. Mr. Sun Gouxiang, Special Envoy of Asian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, at the parlour of Bayintnaung Villa, here, this morning.
Also present at the call together with the Senior General were Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) and senior military officers. The Chinese Special Envoy of Asian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was accompanied by Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar H.E. Mr. Hong Liang, the Military Attaché and officials.
They exchanged views on holding the 3rd Union Peace Conference-21st Century Panglong, endeavours of the government and the Tatmadaw for restoring internal peace in Myanmar, cooperation of the two countries in prevailing peace and stability at the border region, internal peace processes of Myanmar, situations in Buthidaung-Maungtaw region of Rakhine State, and mutual cooperation of the two countries.
After the meeting, the Senior General and the Chinese Special Envoy of Asian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs posed for documentary photo together with those present.
