Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received Japanese Ambassador to Myanmar H.E.Mr. Ichiro MARUYAMA at the parlour of Bayintnaung Villa, here, this morning.
Also present at the call together with the Senior General were Lt- Gen Soe Htut from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) and senior military offi cers. The Japanese Ambassador to Myanmar was accompanied by embassy officials.
At the meeting, both sides cordially exchanged views on promotion of friendly relations between the two countries and the two armed forces, assistance of Japan for development of Myanmar, help of Japan for the government and the Tatmadaw in solving the problems happening in Buthidaung and Maungtaw region of Rakhine State, and needs to inform international community about the true events and situations.
After the meeting, the Senior General and the Japanese Ambassador to Myanmar had documentary photos taken.
