Senior General Min Aung Hlaing enjoys performances of servicemen, servicewomen awarded in 17th inter-military performing arts, Anyeint, drama and magic contests

Aimed at preserving traditional culture and fine arts of Myanmar with greater development and staging better performance at the State and the Tatmadaw levels, as the Directorate of Public Relations and Psychological Warfare of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) organized the 17th inter-military performing arts, Anyeint, drama and magic contests in September this year, award winner servicemen and servicewomen in the contests presented performances at Thabin Hall of Zeyathiri Beikman in Nay Pyi Taw in the evening of 6 October, attended by Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.

The performance was also attended by his wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win and wife Daw Than Than Nwe, Union Minister for Home Affairs Lt-Gen Kyaw Swe and wife, Union Minister for Defence Lt-Gen Sein Win and wife,Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Mya Tun Oo and wife,Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Admiral Tin Aung San and wife, Commander-in-Chief(Air) General Maung Maung Kyaw and wife,senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, officers and other ranks of departments and offices from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army,Navy and Air) and families.

At the entertainment, servicemen from the No. 1 Tatmadaw TV Broadcasting Unit performed the tune of “Standard Time” and “skill demonstrations with oboe and drums”. Sergeant (Substitute)Aye Thuzar Kyaw of No. 1 Mobile Public Relations Company sang the song with title of “mole on the cheek” originally sung by vocalist Sein Party and composed by song composer Shwe Taing Nyunt.Private Aye Min Tun and Sergeant(Substitute) Nweni Win performed the dual dance with the title of “happiness for all in the universe”.Warrant Officer-II San Lwin sang the song with the title of “song composer soldier” originally sung by vocalist-cum-pianist Tun Nyunt and composed by song composer MinYu Naing (Poem). Servicemen and servicewomen from No. 3 Mobile Public Relations Company presented the “staged magic show”. Servicemen and servicewomen from No. 1 Mobile Public Relations Company entertained performance of “Sein Tharaphu Anyeint”. Servicemen and servicewomen from No. 2 Mobile Public Relations Company performed “Nanbon Thihabwe Ozi choral dance”.

Next, servicemen and servicewomen from No. 1 Mobile Public Relations Company presented a drama with the title of “brave and courageous Bagan citizen” which depicted victories of patriotic local people led by traditional medicine practitioner Saya Cho, called Bo Cho, and his two sons from Ngathayaukse Village in Bagan-NyaungU Township during four years period when the Myanmar fell under British colonialist rule in 1247 and the plots on arresting Bo Cho who took a rest because of his health conditions at Thiripyitsaya Gupyauk Temple due to a sycophant.The drama then showed the plot of killing Bo Cho at the gallows.Later, award winner servicemen and servicewomen collectively sang the song with the title of “national spirit”.

After the ceremony, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla presented flower basket and cash award to the servicemen and servicewomen who performed entertainments.
