Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received H.E. Mr. Ronen Gilor, who has been appointed as the Ambassador of Israel to Myanmar,at the Parlour of Bayintnaung Villa,here this afternoon.
Also present at the meeting together with the Senior General were Lt-Gen Soe Htut and senior military officers of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army). The Israeli Ambassador was accompanied by the embassy officials.
At the meeting, they discussed views on exchange of goodwill visits between the two countries including the first goodwill visit to Israel by Myanmar Prime Minister U Nu in 1955, after both countries regained independence in 1948,broader cooperation between the two governments and the two armed forces in various sectors in a cordial atmosphere, further enhancement of the existing cordialties, cooperation in the education, agriculture and health sectors, Myanmar’s road to public-aspired multi-party democracy and exchange of experiences in connection with human rights.
After the call, the Senior General presented souvenir to the Ambassador and posed for a group documentary photo.
