Nay Pyi Taw April 1
The first-day session of the sale of pearl lots and gems- April 2021 was held at Mani Yadana Jade Hall in Nay Pyi Taw at 9 am today, and Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing attended the event.
Also present together with the Senior General were council members Lt-Gen Soe Htut and Lt-Gen Moe Myint Tun, joint secretary Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo, patron of Myanmar Gems Emporium Central Committee Union Minister U Khin Maung Yi, Union ministers U Win Shein, U Chit Naing, U Myint Kyaing, Dr Pwint Hsan and U Maung Maung Ohn, Governor of the Central Bank of Myanmar U Than Nyein, Chairman of Nay Pyi Taw Council Dr Maung MaungNaing, Commander of Nay Pyi Taw Command Maj-Gen Zaw Myo Tin, deputy ministers, members of Nay Pyi Taw Council, members of Myanmar Gems Emporium Central Committee, gems entrepreneurs and officials.
On arrival at Mani Yadana Jade Hall at 9 am, the Senior General and party watched a video clip on the preparations for successful sale of pearl lots and gems in Myanmar kyats through LED display board.
Next, the Senior General and party viewed round the booths where jade tenders would be opened, the CCTV control room, uncut gems lots, finished gems and jewels displayed on the first floor of Mani Yadana Jade Hall, pearl lots displayed on the ground floor and a display of jade lots outside the hall. They were conducted round there by Union Minister U Khin Maung Yi, Deputy Minister U Min Min Oo and officials.
The sale of pearl lots and gems-April 2021 will be from 1 to 10 April offering sales of 317 pearl lots, 2,148 jade lots and 199 lots of jewelry to local gem merchants under open tender system.
